I've spent years on both sides of the chargeback process. Merchant-side, working dispute programs and high-volume fraud queues. And on the issuer side, inside the systems that open and review disputes on behalf of cardholders — including time at PayPal, where that volume runs in the hundreds of millions annually.
Most chargeback guides are written by people who have read the Visa rulebook. This one is written by someone who has worked the queue.
WinTheChargeback exists because the information gap between merchants and the systems they're fighting is real and fixable. Banks have industrialized this process. Merchants are still submitting PDFs and hoping someone reads them.
